1. Code Red app – Alert Spokane If there is only one app you get, get this one!
ALERT Spokane is the program behind public alert and warning notifications disseminated throughout the greater Spokane area. The software supporting the program is called CodeRED. CodeRED is a mass notification system that can distribute emergency notifications via landline, cellular and/or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones, as well as via email, text messages, and TTD, TTY capable phones.
2. Spokane Regional Emergency app (Official SREC911 Safety app) also Spokane911
This app is designed to offer quick access to essential information and services in an emergency. It integrates with SREC's safety and security systems and provides features like public safety contacts, online reports, and safety notifications.
3. Watch Duty
Watch Duty is a service, not an app, powered by over 150 volunteers – firefighters, dispatchers, and first responders – who diligently monitor radio scanners and other official sources 24 hours a day to send you the most up-to-date information.
4. Fires
Fires gives you wildfire information, air quality and wind, global weather conditions, and a growing atlas of offline maps, everything you and your family need to stay aware and on track during the wildfire season and throughout the year.
5. Wildfire Tracker
The Wildfire Tracker provides you with real-time wildfire updates, weather forecasts, air quality info and crucial environmental data from trusted sources like The National Interagency Fire Center, Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre, and NASA to help users make informed decisions and stay safe.
6. FEMA app
The FEMA app gives you the tools and information to plan, protect, respond, and recover from disasters.
7. NOAA weather apps
NOAA offers several mobile apps for weather information, including radar maps, forecasts, and severe weather alerts. Some popular options include Clime: NOAA Weather Radar Live, NOAA Radar & Weather Forecast, and NOAA Weather Radio. These apps provide real-time radar data, customizable alerts, and detailed forecasts
8. First Aid: American Red Cross
Introduces quick steps for giving care in critical situations, ensuring you can respond swiftly when it matters most. Test your knowledge with interactive quizzes, designed to provide instant feedback and help you learn on the go. The 911 Call button more accessible during emergencies, so help is just a tap away.

This is where you get weather information from the horse’s mouth.

Who doesn’t know about the Weather Channel?
